Our foundation is built upon and managed by a team of subject matter experts working to support services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in over 90 countries worldwide.With environmental sustainability and optimization at the forefront of our datacenter design and operations, we continue to grow and evolve as we meet the ever-changing business demands that hold Microsoft as a world-class cloud provider.Be at the forefront of the action in CO+I as part of our global datacenter operations.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:At least three years’ experience managing logistics operations in an IT and/or mission critical environmentAt least three years of experience with end-to-end operational warehouse/supply chain/logistics experience including the use of hand trucks and other powered and non-powered lifting devicesAt least two years’ experience leading and motivating a diverse, technical workforceExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with different teams and stakeholders, including technical and non-technical personnel, to ensure clear and concise exchange of information and ideasWillingness to work flexible hours, non-business hours, or other scenarios required by rhythm of the businessPreferred Qualifications:Experience in managing logistics operations for Critical Environments: Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate the transportation, storage, and delivery of equipment and supplies for electrical and mechanical infrastructure in data centers or other mission-critical facilitiesEnterprise-level Experience in managing large-scale and complex projects/programs representing operational, business, and logistical verticals.Working knowledge of audit and compliance requirements in a large global enterpriseStrong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, data analysis, and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication and organization skillsMust be able to multi-task and project manage many tasks simultaneouslyCollege or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar, or equivalent experienceBackground Check Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.ResponsibilitiesIn the Datacenter Logistics Manager role, you will work with the Datacenter Operations Managers, Datacenter Project Managers, and Data Center Inventory & Asset Technicians (DIAT) to drive and implement consistent programs across the operations and logistic verticals in the datacenters. With your team, you will enable the build out, onboarding and operationalization of new datacenter capacity, and be responsible for ensuring that both IT and Critical Environment functions have all the components they need, in a timely and cost-effective manner, to guarantee smooth operations. You will also oversee the DIATs day-to-day operations providing you a complete end-to-end perspective and accountability. As part of the datacenter management team, your responsibilities will also include overseeing a diverse range of activities, including Ops Assurance, SLA monitoring, compliance, service level management and other management-related tasks.This role calls for a balance of leadership, influence skills, supportive individual contributions, and expertise in enterprise-level operations.As a successful Datacenter Logistics Manager, your performance objectives include:Empowering a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of datacenter activitiesLeading and managing a team of high-performing individual contributors and their ongoing talent developmentManaging and overseeing datacenter logistics operationsEnsure the availability of materials and goods, such as deployment components, spare parts, and consumables, to enable continuous and smooth operations of both IT and CE functionsCollaborating and coordinating with multiple internal and external business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levelsAnalyzing and monitoring production operations and initiate corrective actions to ensure operational stabilityInitiate and establish quality standards for the Datacenter Logistics team and manage those initiatives through to completionLearn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and values.
